According to Louisiana Real Estate Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 9 “Renewal of Licenses, Registrations and Certificates,” Section 901(A), it shall be the responsibility of the real estate agent to ensure that the renewal of an individual license, registration, or certificate has been fully completed and timely submitted to the commission with the required fees.
If an agent’s information changes, the agent has a duty to inform the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
According to Louisiana Real Estate Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 15 “Transfers and Terminations,” Section 1501(A), a request to terminate sponsorship of a licensee or to transfer a licensee to a new broker shall be submitted to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission on forms prescribed by the commission and shall be accompanied by the fees prescribed in R.S. 37:1443.
According to Louisiana Real Estate Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 31 “Change of Address and/or Telephone Number,” Section 3101, the Louisiana Real Estate Commission shall be notified in writing within ten (10) days of any change in the mailing address, physical address, and/or telephone number of the agent.
This includes changes in the business or residential address and phone number of the agent.
If agents do not timely update their information, the agent may be prohibited from engaging in licensed real estate activities.
